Gold & Silver Sales Tax Policy

by ProntoLicenza Metal Inc.

Understanding Sales Tax When Buying from ProntoLicenza Metal Inc.

When you purchase precious metal products from ProntoLicenza Metal Inc., we may be required to collect sales tax depending on where your order is shipped and which items you purchase. The amount of tax applied β€” or whether any tax is due at all β€” depends on the laws in the destination state.

For example, if you reside in a state where we’re required to collect tax, but you ship your order to a state that doesn’t require tax collection, then your purchase may not be taxed. Always consider the final shipping destination when determining potential tax impact.

Why Are We Required to Collect Sales Tax?

In 2018, the U.S. Supreme Court ruling in South Dakota vs. Wayfair, Inc. gave states the authority to enforce sales tax collection on remote (online) sellers, regardless of physical presence.
As a result, ProntoLicenza Metal Inc. is obligated to collect sales tax in certain states where we meet economic nexus requirements. We have worked closely with tax advisors to ensure our compliance and to simplify the process for our customers.
